After having nothing worthwhile to share for a Foto Friday the last couple months, I came across a few pretty awesome snapshots that I took in December.
These are from the Carolina Panthers v. Tampa Bay Buccaneers game on Dec. 7, 2009 where the boyfriend and I sat ROW ONE! I was excited beyond words to be so close – especially to #55, Dan Connor, a Penn State alum and my favorite Panthers player. The chances of sitting this close to the field again are likely slim, at least for quite a while, but here’s a few photos (not so “artsy fartsy” but pretty damn sweet anyway) that I just had to share.
And last, but not least, I had to share a pre-game photo of the boyfriend and myself. Isn’t he cute? =)

I’m so jealous. I never been to a Pro Football game before.
Comment by phampants February 5, 2010 @ 2:45 pmI had never been to one ’til about two years ago. Went to my first game (ironically Panthers v. Buccaneers for that also) and I was addicted!!
Beforehand, I’d just been to a TON of Penn State games. But I would highly recommend going to one. Even if you aren’t a Bears fan, just for the experience, you should do it.
Comment by amindinmotown February 5, 2010 @ 3:56 pmI’m glad my son has a supporter in Carolina!!
Comment by Jim Connor February 5, 2010 @ 3:21 pm…I hope this isn’t a joke comment, ha. If not, your son definitely has a supporter here. I even have a personalized Panthers jersey with his name and number. As a fellow Pennsylvania native in Charlotte, and a Penn State alum – class of ’07 as well – I have to support my guys!
Comment by amindinmotown February 5, 2010 @ 3:47 pmcheerleaders!!!!!
Comment by Matt February 5, 2010 @ 3:44 pmMust you always have a one-track mind?
Comment by amindinmotown February 5, 2010 @ 3:49 pmI’ve been to one football game in my life. And it was a CFL (Canadian Football League) game, which is nowhere near as fun as NFL. And it was held in an indoor stadium. And I was in the LAST ROW. The players were tiny little specks, and it was a bazillion degrees up where I was sitting. Your pictures make me want to go to an NFL game and do it right!
Comment by samdotcom February 5, 2010 @ 3:53 pmI hear CFL is pretty awesome though. I’d actually love to check out one of those games and see if it’s much different or how the atmosphere is.
And seriously, these tickets were luck!! My boyfriend had some awesome lower seats this year, but this first row thing… It may never happen again, which is why I probably snapped about 200 photos that day.
Comment by amindinmotown February 5, 2010 @ 3:59 pmWhoa, you got some amazing pictures there! The only pro-football game was the Bucs v. Vikings and we sat a whole lotta rows back from the end zone. I had so much fun at my game, even though it was in Tampa and I.hate.the.Bucs.
I definitely want to go to a Dolphins game sometime. Looks like you had fun and I think this is the first picture I’ve seen of Boyfriend! He’s cute! 🙂
Comment by Stephany February 5, 2010 @ 4:07 pmIs Tampa Bay’s stadium amazing though? It looks pretty fabulous on TV. I’d love to see a game there!
And I’ll tell the boyfriend you said he’s cute … that is, if he doesn’t murder me for putting his photo on my blog, ha.
Comment by amindinmotown February 5, 2010 @ 4:13 pmIn all my time at Carolina, I never went to a Panthers game. Many, many Caps games, but never a Panthers. Hmph.
Looks like a blast 😉
Comment by LiLu February 5, 2010 @ 3:44 pmYou liked weren’t dating a Panthers fanatic at the time though, ha. (My boyfriend says he has “Panther-tude” instead of “attitude.” It’s ridic!) He was determined to make me a Carolina fan.
Comment by amindinmotown February 5, 2010 @ 4:17 pmEven though I am SO not a football fan (I only watch a game if there is good food and beer involved) I would love to go to a panthers game.
I’ve witnessed some of the die-hard fans and I want to see what the big deal is all about.
cute picture of you two!!
Comment by thatShortChick February 5, 2010 @ 7:26 pmMy boyfriend is certainly one of those die-hard fans, ha. He’s nuts!! And you’d love a game, even if you aren’t a football fan. The atmosphere is practically intoxicating.
Comment by amindinmotown February 8, 2010 @ 11:37 amLove your photos! They are awesome. I’ve lived in Charlotte my whole life and I’ve never been to a Panthers game. Maybe I should change that soon.
Comment by Sarah Nicole February 5, 2010 @ 7:35 pmPeople keep saying that! You ought to change it next season.
Comment by amindinmotown February 8, 2010 @ 11:37 amAww is right, you and your boy were all so matchy and cute 🙂 i love seeing you so happy.
Anyhoo, it’ s pretty sad how I haven’t been to lots of games in my life. Those are fierce photos!
Comment by Andhari February 6, 2010 @ 3:40 amThank you!! He hates that we match going to games, but that’s just too darn bad, lol.
And football tends to be a very American – and Canadian – thing. I haven’t been to any other professional sport before, so you probably have a leg up on me there though.
Comment by amindinmotown February 8, 2010 @ 11:39 amnice shots lady! looks like you had great seats too.
go browns! yeah i had to.
Comment by alexa - cleveland's a plum February 6, 2010 @ 10:52 amHaha, it’s totally okay. I forgive. =P
Comment by amindinmotown February 8, 2010 @ 11:40 amYou guys are both adorable. So is that mascot.
Comment by Ashley February 6, 2010 @ 2:55 pmSir Purr is definitely pretty awesome.
Comment by amindinmotown February 8, 2010 @ 11:40 amWow great seats!!! Cute picture of you guys too.
Comment by Jessica February 7, 2010 @ 10:39 pmThank you! I tend to take a photo like this nearly every game we go to. I’m lame like that, ha.
Comment by amindinmotown February 8, 2010 @ 11:41 amThat’s a cute pic of you two.
Of the others, I like the huddle pic the best. Damn you were close!
Comment by Kimwithak February 8, 2010 @ 1:41 pmWe were close. It’d only be better if we were front row and on the 50 yard line. I hope I didn’t just ruin every future game for myself now by having such great seats for this one.
Comment by amindinmotown February 8, 2010 @ 2:49 pmMan, you had some sweet seats… and I really like those photos. I wonder what it’s like to be a pro football mascot? That has to be a sweet gig, right? Dance around, hang out with cheerleaders, get paid…
Comment by Andy February 10, 2010 @ 12:20 pmBut is it a man or woman inside that suit? Ha. And I doubt they get paid much. I know for a fact the cheerleaders aren’t paid much.
Comment by amindinmotown February 10, 2010 @ 1:43 pmI’ve never been to a football game. And I’m not sure it’s my thing because the first thing I thought when seeing these photos was “wow, they have great colors!” Football fail.
Comment by Jamie February 11, 2010 @ 11:30 pmHaha, but they are very pretty colors. I actually like wearing them to the games.
Comment by amindinmotown February 23, 2010 @ 11:02 amGood shots of the action–even though I am a Bucs fan and we lost that day…
Comment by Slamdunk February 16, 2010 @ 12:31 amIt was not a good season to be a Tampa Bay fan… =/ Sorry…
